Visiting a church for the first time raises questions. Here's what a week at Gospel Light looks like, so you can walk in knowing what's ahead.

When We Meet

Sunday School

9:30 AM

About one hour, with classes for every age.

Morning Worship

10:30 AM

Usually about an hour and a half.

Sunday Evening

6:00 PM

Every Sunday except Missions Sunday.

Thursday Evening

7:00 PM

Prayer meeting, with Master Clubs for kids at the same time.

Sunday School

Sunday School lasts about an hour. Everyone, from toddlers to grandparents, has a class. The building is small, so you'll find your room easily, and anyone can point you the right way.

Two classes to choose from: one downstairs and one in the auditorium. They're similar, so pick either one.

The Morning Service

Our morning service follows the same order every week and usually runs about an hour and a half. We sing hymns from the hymnal, and the preaching comes from the King James Bible.

  3. Call to worship

    Led by the men of our church, the call to worship is a deliberate pause. It invites us to set aside the busyness of the week, quiet the distractions around us and within us, and turn our hearts toward God.

  4. Junior church is dismissed. Elementary-age kids head to junior church for the rest of the service.

  5. Two hymns

Available during every service, Sundays and Thursdays.

Junior Church

Elementary age

Dismissed during the Sunday morning service, after the call to worship.

Master Clubs

Age 3 through 6th grade

Thursdays at 7:00 PM, during the adult prayer meeting. Learn more

Last Sunday of Every Month

Missions Sunday

Once a month, we spend the afternoon together focused on the missionaries our church supports.
